What happening in K4?
. In Math, we will be very busy this quarter with counting backwards, sorting, simple patterns, showing that each number is one more than the previous number as well as solving simple addition and subtraction problems. Please continue to rote count to 20 and assisting your child with recognizing numbers 0-10.
Current Math Learning Targets
I can count to 15 or beyond.
I can count on, starting at a variety of numbers to 15 or beyond.
I can show up to 15 objects, sounds, or actions.
I can count an unorganized collection of up to 5 objects.
I can show that each number is one more than the previous number.
I can find shapes with geometric attributes.
I can sort objects into different groups.
I can use attributes of size, shape, or color to repeat a pattern using manipulatives.
I can make comparisons of two sets of data on a graph using words and phrases like more, fewer, the same as, none, some, and all.
I can participate in solving simple addition and subtraction number stories by joining and taking away objects within 5 or beyond.
