Dear Families,Welcome to Central City Cyberschool! We look forward to beginning a fun and exciting year!
The following is some information about our classroom and what you might expect this upcoming year.
School Hours:Students will be served breakfast from 8:00 am to 8:20 am. Attendance is important for the success of your child. If you child would like breakfast, please make sure they are present on time. Breakfast will not be handed out after 8:30 am.
Dismissal for students is at 4:00 pm. It is also very important for your child to be picked up on time at the end of the school day! If you know that you’re going to be late, please make arrangements with a family member or friend. We are obligated to report to CPS (Child Protective Services) if a child is not picked up by 4:20pm. If you need to report an absence, please call 414.444.1966 ext. 195.
Class Mission:During the first week of school as a class we will be creating a list of rules that students and teachers will follow. As a class we decide how we want to be treated and how we want to treat others. Each student will sign the class mission and it will be posted on the wall.
Behavior Policy:
Our classroom manages our social behavior on Class Dojo. Every student starts the day on Class Dojo day at 0. If a student has had a difficult time, they will lose specific class privileges, participate in restorative justice and a Dojo message is sent, phone call is made, or a conversation is had with the family at pick-up. If students remain on task during the day, they will receive points for various activities and positive behaviors. We will also have class points to celebrate great teamwork as a group.
Daily Homework Folder:
(Being Awesome Daily Gives Exceptional Results)Your child will be provided with a Daily Homework Folder that will be the primary source for all communication between school and home from me. Homework will be sent home Monday through Thursday, and is due back to school the following day. We will be expecting each student to have a folder at all times during the year. These folders are designed to teach responsibility and organization. It is a critical way for us to communicate. During the school year another folder will begin to circulate daily, called a MONDAY Folder. This folder will have school-wide information and newsletters.
